The Calli Girls

Our girls, Riley and Addie, are growing up SO fast. Riley has started kindergarten this year and Addie speaks of her desire to go to a "big girl school". Riley loves the bus ride and Addie loves to watch her sister wave as the bus drives away. The girls really are pretty sweet to each other. They are best of friends and it is apparent that they will take on this world together as a team.

Riley has "finally" turned 5 yrs old. She is starting to give into learning how to read. She is also very proud of her new ability to go across the monkey bars, tie her own shoes, spell/read a large number of words, add single digits, score goals in soccer, make incredible art projects, and let us know if we have forgotten any rules. Gymnastics seems to be a great part of her thoughts. She is always tumbling and climbing. Gymnastics class is the highlight in her week. She is having a great time in the start of her fifth year!

Addie continues to enjoy the quieter environments. She has made some friends on our street and at library story time. We are working on activities that she may get more involved with in the near future. She loves playing ball, swinging, climbing, doing puzzles, learning language on the computer, spending time with animals, crafting (especially CUTTING tons of paper!!!), coloring, singing, and reading. She is getting a lot better at telling us what she is thinking. She is a great kid!

Shannon came to visit us recently. The girls really love her company. Shannon is a great resource for "awesome" culture. Riley now LOVES Hanna Montana (with little known reason). Shannon has also taught our girls that scary is cool. All three of them get along so well. We wish that the Arthur family lived closer.

We have made a new friend, Sashka. He is a 6 mo. old boy who we will watch when his father needs to go into his
office. Addie has spent the most time playing with "Sashie"

and seems to be enjoying their time together.
Sashka is a sweet little guy that has the right temperament for all of us. He is very easy going and laughs a lot. Maybe he is getting us used to what it may be like when the "new cousin" comes along. Nevertheless, Addie is really benefiting from his company.
The girls keep us really busy. They give us a lot of happiness. We are all looking forward to the birth of Sheila and Dave's baby and Tish's new little bundle. We are very lucky.
